Notably, it includes the Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Forward Collision Warning (FCW) functionalities, which serve to alert drivers of potential hazards in real time. Additionally, the app allows for the periodic saving of trip data and provides route analysis to identify possible road hazards.

LDW (Lane Departure Warning): This feature notifies the driver if the vehicle unintentionally drifts out of its lane without signaling, thereby reducing the risk of lane-related accidents.

FCW (Forward Collision Warning): This system warns the driver of an imminent collision by detecting dangerously close proximity to the vehicle ahead, encouraging timely response to prevent accidents.

For operation, users can connect their mobile device via the device's hotspot feature to the CarVi app. By pressing “Start,” the app begins receiving live video data during driving. This data is analyzed using ADAS algorithms to detect lane deviations or collision risks, providing real-time alerts. Additionally, the system generates comprehensive reports on road hazards, sudden departures, stops, and accelerations to support ongoing driver safety evaluations.

Limitations include potential connectivity issues in dense urban environments where multiple Wi-Fi signals may interfere with Wi-Fi-based communication. The “Start” function requires activation of the device’s “Location” service; failure to do so will prevent use of the feature. The app may also be ineffective in tunnels or areas lacking GPS signal. It is important to note that continuous GPS utilization can significantly impact battery life.
